Chardonnay (Chile) (Unoaked)

DRY - Clean, Crisp and refreshing with subtle floral aromas and a bright fruity flavor profile. Chardonnay is a grape that can taste dramatically different based on the vintner's stylistic choices. The grape on its own should be tart with notes of green apple, lime and pineapple. The first of the two most common artistic decisions is whether to age in oak or stainless steel. The next is deciding the desired balance of malic acid (tart) or lactic acid (creamy/buttery). This Chardonnay is unoaked to preserve freshness and crisp fruit profiles. This Chard has not gone through Malolactic conversion meaning it will be tart as apposed to creamy and buttery.
